Our doors are wide open to people from all backgrounds and

experiences.

We strive to be a church marked by relevant teaching, honest

friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those

in need.

You will find a home at First Lutheran, whether you are a person

who is just starting to ask questions about God, or have been a

dedicated Christian for many years.

This is a place where questions are encouraged and together

we work to find answers about faith and life. We don't always

come up with the same answers….or sometimes any answer.
But that's okay because God's love for us isn't dependent upon having all the right answers or being perfect. God's love is a free gift of grace. Because God loves us, we strive to follow Jesus' example.

A bit more about the church itself...
Our First Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Helens Oregon is located on the corner of North 4th and Wyeth Street.
The church was established in 1924 and the present sanctuary was completed in 1963.
The North wing was added in 1979 and the new Parish Hall was completed in 1994.
